You won’t understand this if you haven’t seen the season one of Prince of Tennis or if you have forgot. I did forget these episodes but thanks to this site that I got them again here. This weekend I was free enough to do some activity of my choice. I was feeling very bored of the video games so I preferred to surf online. Finally I saw this site where I can download all the TV shows whether they are on-screen or off-screen. I was more surprised to see that these guys have kept animation shows as well. Otherwise there are separate sites for anime series. This is more convenient here. it takes just a few minutes to download one’s favorite episodes.
Finally I decided to download Prince of Tennis. I am big fan of Tennis, and I play as well, so this anime has always remained fascinating for me. So I downloaded my favorite three episodes from first season. One is regulars make their debuts, second is ‘the one named viper’ and my most favorite ‘Snake shot’. All the three episodes are about Ryoma.Ryoma is a brilliant player, and he has unending stamina, he never gets tired. In the episode ‘regulars’ he defeats a solid player Arai. The coach gets extremely impressed of him and he is selected for the intra school ranking matches. He and all his friends are so happy with his selection.
In next episode he plays a tournament with a strong opponent, Kaido. Kaido is really smart player and doesn’t let Ryoma to make a charm. And finally in this episode Ryoma starts showing signs of fatigue and starts losing his breath. Kaido shows his special move, the snake shot and switches Ryoma off. Now everybody thinks that match has gone.
But Ryoma shows his magic in the next episode. Ryoma is playing cunning moves which make Kaido to bend his knees to move back. Now Kaido starts losing his stamina and is trapped in his own plan. Finally Ryoma wins.
While watching this match it didn’t seem to me that I am watching anime, but it appeared like I am watching the real tournament in tennis court.
Oh God! Another good series on hiatus….
Tennis is my fave game and it’s my fave anime series. I am a tennis player (just a street player) and wanna be the Prince of Tennis one day. When’ll come that day?? Hopefully, after 5-6 years. My love for series is just because of my love for Tennis. Ryoma Echizen is a cool guy and yeah of course a player as well. Here’s the review of season 8 finale –
Ryoma challenges Keigo Atobe in the final match. Actually, he wants to determine which team is perfect to move on National semifinals. I really liked Ryoma’s spirit who has the courage to do such great things. Well, both the teams are confident of their success so over-confidently (I must say), so an agreement is made to have the loser shave their head. Finally, the match starts.
Both sides are strong so they start the match with special techniques. Atobe seems determined to bring out Echizen’s “state of self-actualization” during the match. Echizen is being pounded by Atobe with Taunhauser serves and finally Echizen is forced to take heedless measures to counter him.
Season finale was good but I think series must back with some new and exciting episodes. Fans like me and you are waiting, if the creators are listening. More than a year has passed after the season finale, and don’t know how much more time will???

Ryoma I’m glad I enrolled at Seigaku, because then I get to beat all kinds of tennis players.
Ryoma: Kaidoh-senpai.
Kaidoh: Who said I was scared?! I…I went to look for the tennis courts!

The show ‘Prince of Tennis’ centers around twelve year old guy Ryoma Echizen who is a Tennis prodigy and having 4 successful victories at the American Junior Tennis tournaments. Ryoma is recalled back to Japan by his father, Nanjiroh Echizen, a tennis player. Ryoma joins the Seishun Gakuen tennis team at Seishun Academy middle school.
The team is known as one of the most competitive teams in Japan and the school is famous only because of the tennis team. The team includes – Kunimitsu Tezuka, The Caption; Syuichirou Oishi, The Vic- Caption; Eiji Kikumaru; Shusuke Fuji, a formidable player; Sadaharu Inui; Takashi Kawamura; Takeshi Momoshiro, a power player; Kaoru Kaido. These all are very experienced and good players and freshmen rarely have a chance to play with the well versed team . Ryoma due to his young age, cool confidence, gain him a coveted starting spot. The upper crust expects more than the very best from new members. Ryoma proves himself and joins the team as a regular member.
Ryoma’s cute and shy classmate hopes that he will notice her. Ryoma is the ‘Prince of Tennis’. A lone girl watches Ryoma from the audience, whose parents had dead in an accident. She first meets Ryoma on the train when he helps her.
