As the match is scheduled to begin, both Ryoma and his opponent suddenly disappear. Kaido is asked to replace Ryoma and he is busy with warm ups. The Seigaku team regulars go searching for Ryoma, when he is finally found by Sakuno and Tomo. He and his opponent are found sleeping under a tree, tired from the practice they did before dawn.
Finally, the match starts and Ryoma wins the game for Seigaku by making a winning smash.
