Show description - Prince of Tennis
The show ‘Prince of tennis ‘ centers around twelve year old guy Ryoma Echizen who is a Tennis prodigy having 4 successful victories at the American Junior Tennis tournaments. Ryoma is called back to Japan by his father, Nanjiroh Echizen, a tennis player. Ryoma joins the Seishun Gakuen tennis team at Seishun Academy middle school.
The team is known as one of the most competitive teams in Japan and the school is famous only because of the tennis team. The team includes - Kunimitsu Tezuka, The Caption; Syuichirou Oishi, The Vic- Caption; Eiji Kikumaru; Shusuke Fuji, a formidable player; Sadaharu Inui; Takashi Kawamura; Takeshi Momoshiro, a power player; Kaoru Kaido. These all are very experienced and good players and freshmen rarely have a chance to play with the well versed team. Ryoma, dispite his young age, gains the coveted starting spot due to his confidence. The upper crust expects more than the very best from new members. Ryoma proves himself and joins the team as a regular member.. Ryoma is the ‘Prince of Tennis’. A lone girl watches Ryoma from the audience. Ryoma’s cute and shy classmate hopes that he will notice her some day. Her parents had died in an accident. She first meets Ryoma on the train where he helps her.
